PROPERTY INSIDE – On the west side of East Kalimantan, The Indonesian Part of the world’s third largest island, called “Borneo”, you can find a clear blue lagoon of paradise. The exotic resort combines the magic of nature and a family atmosphere.
The Nabucco Resort is one of the exclusive dive resort of “Extra Divers”. Around the island are a few little beaches where visitors can swim and sunbathe during high tide.
Nabucco Island is a small Island of about 20,000 square meters and part of Maratua Islands. Nabucco Island Resort has eight wooden bungalows and one cosy honeymoon bungalow, all with the facilties of a mini-bar and air-conditioning, and a balcony overlooking the sea bleu lagoon from a white palm beach. Each Bungalow lead the door directly to the beach into the sea for swimming or snorkelling.
The Nabucco Resort restaurant’s have a panoramic view which match with it’s culinary delights. Breakfast choices are made to order served together with freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and or fruit cocktail. Typical light Asian dishes are offered for lunch and at dinner times, guests are treated to a five course dinner that guarantees to satisfy even the healthiest of appetites.
Nabucco’s Resort Dive Centre can serve you to several dive locations within 30 minutes distance. The closest dive place is Big Fish Country, that connects the lagoon to the outer reef, where chevron barracuda, various sharks, frogfishes, scorpionfishes, spotted eagle rays, ghostpipefishes, big groupers, bumphead parrotfish, mandarin fishes, several species of shrimps and schooling trevallies can be found.
Each spacious waterfront bungalow features a large roofed terrace with lazy chairs and direct access to the beach. Two of the bungalows are nestled in a tropical garden, surrounded by coconut trees and lush vegetation. All rooms have air conditioning or a fan, mini-bar, mosquito net, open bathroom with shower/WC, as well as hot and cold water.
The bar is situated on a small cliff, overlooking the sea. This is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and the moonrise while having a cocktail with friends and other guests. The bar is equipped with a satellite TV and DVD player to watch the highlights of the day.
The resort have 3 modern dive boats made of fiberglass for dive trips. Each boat is powered by 2 engines between 70 and 150 HP Yamaha/Suzuki. The boats transport you to the dive sites safely and quickly. On every boat you will find oxygen, a first aid kit, and mobile phone or radio.
The dive center is situated at the jetty and the resort provide equipment from Aqualung. They offer up to four dives per day and usually return to the dive center between single dives. Exceptions are day trips to Kakaban and Sangalaki, and the most northern and southern dive sites of the Maratua Atoll.
